| "I felt my understanding of the painting process improved after taking Timothy Tyler's Still-Life class. Cost-wise with the projects you work on, and detailed instruction you receive, it works to out to be very economical. Tyler is highly knowledgeable, and successful in explaining the oil painting process from start to finish. Good explanations of painting materials are provided including paint characteristics, what brushes to use, and organization of the palette. The class is casual, but loaded with information from references to paintings, to drawing techniques, to color mixing. It's comparable to a "paint-along" demonstration, where you paint alongside a teacher, something I feel is the best teaching method. Being able to replay the video is helpful. It was also relaxing being able to paint from home while learning from a top artist. Overall, the interactive features make learning fun and easy, and gives you the tools to control your learning. The management of inquiries is excellent. I'm happy with what I learned, the results I achieved, and highly recommend the class." Carolyn B. |
