Mr. DeMille can instruct you in obtaining an exact portrait likeness through classic impressionism that borders on abstraction. With this and other upcoming virtual classes, you will learn poses, backdrops, lighting and how to use today's modern materials through daily demonstrations and personal instruction at your easel. He will enlighten you on how to portray various subjects, such as small children, children with pets, posthumous from photographs, and ethnic and character features.

Leslie B. DeMille's emphasis is on fresh, alla prima portrait studies. He encourages you to work in an impressionistic manner rather than with tight, hard edges. You will learn about tone values, lost and found edges, color temperature and how to squint to see how to draw with simple form of light and shadow.
