"I write", I say.
They say, "What do you write?"
"Parapsychology, Metaphysics", I say.
They look at me funny, eyes beginning to glaze and something that sounds like fright or confusion comes out like "Uh oh....u, ah what?"
"You know, Psychic Phenomena." I say. "The subject you either love or hate depending on your indoctrination."
Everybody is familiar with the subject from television shows like Medium and Ghost Whisperer. And, depending on their religious beliefs or convictions, I lose half my audience. The other half is usually quickly joined by more than was lost in the first place and with much greater enthusiasm. This tells me one of two things. Either curiosity about the long time taboo subject of life after death has changed, been replaced and/or truth and caring is beginning to take on heroic proportions.
Long before I began to write on the subject more than 60+ years ago my curiosity and interest was peaked by childhood experiences and empirical knowledge of the unknown world, as it was called. My advice now is the same as it always has been: give science and technology a chance and it will change everything you know about the so called unknowable. I am here, as we all are, to learn everything there is to know about the universe, its workings and our place in it. What I have found so far keeps me as curious and fascinated as when my eyes first opened!
